Membership Info

For more than 60 years the New York State Nutrition Council has served as a medium of communication among official and voluntary agencies, organizations,
educational institutions and industry for mutual understanding, cooperation and coordination. Membership includes nutrition professionals
from:
- Dietetics
- Food Service
- Government
- Cornell Cooperative Extension
- Business
- Health Education
- Family and Consumer Sciences
- WIC
Membership provides:
- A unique network for food and nutritional professionals in New York State
- A way to keep abreast of statewide nutrition issues
- Special annual activities
- Quarterly newsletter
- Mini-grants
Membership categories include:
Individual
Persons having an associate or higher degree in nutrition, food service, allied science or human ecology from an acredited institution.
Retired
Members retired from active professional employment in a nutritional related field.
Honorary
Former members of the Council who have made outstanding contributions as designated by the Executive Board.
Student Members
Persons enrolled in a two or four year program in nutrition, food service, allied sciences or human ecology at an accredited institution.
Our membership year is September 1 to August 31.
